I have treatment once a month and now i just came back from my treatment.Lucky me because my case still not to bad if i compare with other people that i met in hospital today.She said she have to get radiotherapy treatment everyday and she usually take a rest at weekend by advice from her Doc she said!poor her,she almost lost her hair and her nail become so nasty effect from her treatment!
The total length of my treatment course depends on my case and in my situation,my previous doc said i have to get the treatment every 2 week at one time,mean twice a month.But i decide to get once a month for several reason.The radiotherapy treatment itself is painless and only takes a about 45 minute for myself.
When it is time for my treatment, the radiographer usually will help my position on the couch and make sure i feel comfortable and i will be left alone for the 40-45 two the machine is switched on. But the staff will be able to hear me through an intercom, so i can call them when i need them. Here is an my treatment room.
Sorry if the picture not really clear as the lighting so blue,and the staff i ask for taking this picture using her camera,its sony phone,but it's quite cool though!The treatment does not hurt but every time after my treatment done,i feel unwell and dizzy.Normally i will not be able to feel it at all. But i will be asked to lie very still for the few minutes it takes to treat me.The treatment can be very tiring, because is a side effect of radiotherapy treatment.
I feel so lucky because my lovely husband always giving me 100% moral support to go through this difficult time.Nothing more i can say to him apart from THANK HIM SO MUCH for what he already did to me and the way he look after me.THANK YOU BABY!!!!
