I prefer ugly truth over pretty lies, because, eventually the lie is found out, or, in my case, i sense it in you.
my radar is excellent. and if i sense it, i tell you "you are lying"
which can bring one of two results.
more lies, or a shameful or kinda of laughing admission.
If it is the latter, i am far more apart to forgive on the spot, and tell you not t do it again, explaining i prefer the truth, even if it is brutal.

This is so true, except sometime si have trouble with eye contact in general, i do however, tend to look someone in the eyes if i am speaking truth about something, other than just chithat.
I have gotten alot better wit the eye thing, i look ppl in the eyes alot now.
the thing is, what makes it hard is there is an emotinal intensity to eye contact.
in the jim butcher dresden files books there is a thing caled a soul gaze, where you can see everything that is inside a person, good or bad.
but tio soulgaze with someone means they can see all that is within you too
which, in the book, is dangerous
Its almost like that.
I look someone in the eyes i sense alot about them, but, at the same time, i am afraid they can sense alot in me, and until i trust a person, really know them, i dont want them to see me so naked.
I know i sense ppl motives and general state of being because of the spiritul gift of decernment.
It can be a burden to bare this gift, because, sadly, there is far more bad than good in ppl, dishonesty, betrayal, self motivation, vapidness, lostness. living lies. malice, anger. sometimes evil.
I wish i saw more good, because, seeing so much mad in ppl, in the world makes me jaded. makes me suspicious, and makes me closed off emotionally until you can prove you are worthy of it.
To bare that gift tho, you have got to be strong and tough, you have to be able to bare the weight of it.
BTW, in a nonreligious world view, the gift of descernment would be known as being an empath. They are pretty much identical,. Which leads me to believe God bestows spiritual gifts to all, but, its outr choice how we use them. For God or not.
I feel like, all the painful things i have experienced, were allowed to make me able to bare that gift.
It is the rareist spiritual gift, and i find those who do not have it to some degree, look at you like you have three eyeballs. Or you are crazy.
but is is scriptural, unless you have experienced it, you dont understand it.
most ppl could not bare the emotion of it i dont believe
but the flipside, the positive is this, you can empathize really well, you feel the emotion of a hurting person and you are able to comfort and minister to them.
And then there is when you can see good in someone, light and love and kindness.

pride. fear of hurting ppl? they get hurt anyway and pride, well pride is just denying you are human, flawed and messed up like the rest of us.

and God made us able to experince that pleasure when he made adam and eve.

And it is so very hard to keep track of the lies you tell,
you eventually slip and then the people you lie to realize you have been lying al along, betraying their trust, and that relationship will never, ever be the same.
